About Cory Parris Photography
I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories. I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I have met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography. A few months ago I met Don, Elizabeth and their little one, Iris, to re-shoot some wedding photographs for them (to be clear, I did not shoot them the first time). We had a great time and we did it again for some portraits of Iris and the family at Gasworks!

Sara and Daniel were married five years ago. I was very honored to photograph their wedding. I was even more honored to be photographing their fifth anniversary! It is so cool to be their photographer again! If you want to see a few images from their wedding you can find them here.

I met Chinwe and Alozie at the Hilton in Bellevue and took some engagement portraits. They are a very fun couple!
I met Melissa at Centennial Park in Bothell for some senior portraits. Her brother Thomas and my daughter Alyssa were my assistants. We tromped on the trails through the blackberry bushes and the mud to find some very cool places at a small park. It was a blast. I now expect all the rest of the Bothell Seniors to be knocking down my door to get their portraits done by me!
I love the way the background in this image looks like the brushstrokes of a painting.
One of my favorite things is to photograph the children of my wedding couples. It is so cool to see them as parents and meet their amazing little ones. With Heather and Eric, their wedding was featured a couple times in Cosmo Bride China of all places. Now they have a beautiful little girl that I had the great pleasure to photograph this past weekend. Check out some of the images!
