Train!
My Dad worked on the railroad for many years. I have a little kid in me that is still fascinated with trains.

I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories.
I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I’ve met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography. I also have an amazing wife, Leslie, and three fantastic children. Life is good. You can also find recent posts about me below on my blog, on my portfolio site, or look me up on facebook. |

I’m not a landscape photographer, but I sometimes play one on TV! The three little models are mine, however.

My incredible son, Kyler, just finished up fall soccer. He was a part of Northshore Youth Soccer Association (5000 kids!). He and the other kids on his team had a lot of fun. You can see some photographs from the last game here! He was the team’s second leading scorer and had a blast. My little guy was not harmed in the making of the photograph above! It sure is funny, though!
I’ve added a new splash page to the front of the website. The idea is to get more people to the part that they want more quickly. It also links up all of my websites.
I quite often get asked if I do portraits. Of course I do, but it is not the largest part of my business. I do want to be my wedding clients photographer for life!
It also links to my new wedding photographer education site the Wedding Photography Project. Hopefully this will be a great resource for both professional photographers and amateur photographers with aspirations!
I would love your feedback if anyone has an opinion!

Andrew and Valerie love to walk around the top of Queen Anne Hill. So, that’s where we went for their engagement portraits! Kerry Park is the quintessential view of Seattle and makes a great backdrop for photographs. You can see their entire portrait session here!
