Seattle Wedding Photographer - Cory Parris

About Cory Parris Photography

I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories. I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I have met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography. I also have an amazing wife, Leslie, and three fantastic children. Life is good. Have any questions? Call me - 425.637.8852

Colin & Holly’s Album!

Friday, February 16th, 2007

Colin and Holly were married on December 16, 2006 at St. Thomas in Medina.  It was a couple days after the wind storm and in one of the photoraphs you can see where their car had to turn around because of downed trees and police tape!  They went to the beautiful Edgewater Hotel in Seattle for their reception.  The image below is for their transluscent cover and metallic print.  You can see the rest of the album design here!

Alyssa’s Play night!

Friday, February 16th, 2007

My 11 year-old daughter is an amazing actress!  Great expressiveness, exuberance and timing for anyone, let alone a fifth grader!  Her is a few of her in action and some of the rest of the family from last night.

The little man sat mostly still for two hours!

Here she is playing the part of a racist waitress in the Marin Luther King, Jr. play (it was originally canceled due to snow, so they put it on last night).  She was scarily convincing.  We’re hoping she gets a little bit lighter part in the Lion King play coming up later this year.  But, how could she not!

Mr. Rhoades is a wonderfully creative teacher that works hard to make learning interesting, fun and challenging.  Here he is acting in one of the Radio Theater plays.

Ky enjoyed the show and was laughing hard at a couple of the radio theater plays.

Valentine’s Day!

We had a great Valentine’s Day running from class to class and party to party!

Here’s the adorable, charming first grader!

My youngest has decided he doesn’t like to have his photograph taken.  Obviously this is painful for me!

Yum.  Kids with sugar highs…Whoo Hoo!

My wonderful wife.  I couldn’t be happier that she’s agreed to be my Valentine yet again!  Her favorite hobby is baking (we give most of the goodies away to avoid becoming huge), so she got a few gadgets.  Sounds like a lame hubby gift, but it really is what she likes!  She gave me a night out coming soon with tickets to see the Buddy Holly story on the 5th Avenue.  I love music and plays, so it’s perfect for me!

5th grade and going on high school!

Blindfolded and swinging a bat…I told her teacher just to take her glasses away.

I love it when they are small enough to have to look straight up to see your face!

Wednesday, February 14th, 2007

I get a lot of questions about photography, obviously.  So I decided to start a seperate website with articles I’ve written about photography.  You can find Cory’s Photo School here!  I look forward to hearing what people think, and any questions you can think of!
