Seattle Wedding Photographer - Cory Parris

About Cory Parris Photography

I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories. I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I have met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography. I also have an amazing wife, Leslie, and three fantastic children. Life is good. Have any questions? Call me - 425.637.8852

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007

Weighing in at 80 pages, it’s Karen and Joe’s Album! They were married at Holy Names Academy with a reception at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel. Their flowers were done by Miki’s Flowers. Let me know what you think of the book!

Jessica & Scott’s Engagement Portraits!

Jess & Scott live in Boston, but are getting married on Orcas Island.  They were in town this week and we took the opportunity to go to Volunteer Park for some engagement portraits.  Very fun couple!

I like this photograph, but it looks like it was taken by someone else!  Not my normal style, but I had fun in the processing.

I love to take portraits in available darkness.  This image was shot at 3200 ISO for all the photogeeks like me out there!

Teresa & Jason’s Engagement Portraits!

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

I had such a great time at Gasworks that I suggested it for my next engagement portrait session!  They love the water and spending time on their boat, so we needed to have water in their portraits!

I love the graphic elements of this image and the way the diamond shape their bodies make echoes the larger angle made by the pipe above them.

Sara & Daniel’s Wedding!

Wednesday, May 9th, 2007

I love photographing weddings especially when it is so obvious that the couple has a great time together. Sara and Daniel were a lot of fun and we traveled around the Seattle area to do an extended portrait session of the two of them with their wedding party. We started at Gasworks before going all over the UW campus and heading out to the wedding at the Hollywood Schoolhouse in Woodinville.

You can see their slideshow by going to the wedding portion of my website, clicking on “View Proofs”, and entering the password “saradaniel”.

While we were at the UW, we attracted the attention of a few scavenger hunters that needed a photo with a bride. For some reason, this one also wore a plastic beak. That part remains a mystery!
