A couple years ago, I photographed Shanna & Gary’s wedding. Shanna is a chef in Washington, DC. While she was coming out to visit family in eastern Washington, she arranged for a layover in Seattle so that we could do some promotional images to be used in and to promote her upcoming cookbook. I can’t wait to see it!

This image was taken by good friend and occasional assistant, Mat Hayward.

It shows me making faces trying to make a child smile. Oblivious to the fact that Conan O’Brien, one of the world’s funniest men and the child’s father is standing right there. I’m fairly confidant that he could have done a better job! Congratulations to Conan on his recent Emmy win!
Sarah and Franck had a beautiful wedding and reception on Bainbridge Island. You can see their slideshow here.

Here is the very cool old home that was the centerpiece of the property where the reception was held.

Sarah just before the wedding.

This is a detail of the the veil that Sarah wore. It is from the mid to late 1800’s and has been worn by several generations of brides in her family.

She’s adorable. And she knows it! Cuddling up with grandma in her jammies just before bed.

The fabulous waterfront location.

Franck’s aunt telling an embarrassing story (or three) from his childhood.

All the points were not agreed upon!

Embarassments heaped upon Sarah as well!

The brides brother-in-law (yes, that is Conan O’Brien), making everyone laugh during the toasts

I loved this image of three generations on Sarah’s family and their different reactions.
I met Elyssa and Caleb down at the Edmonds waterfront for some sunset portraits. I love the way they came out. You can see a slideshow here!

Taken while the sun was still up.

This one was taken well after sunset.
My father-in-law has worked for Children’s Home Society of Washington for over 30 years. It is a truly remarkable organization dedicated to children and families. I volunteered to take some artistic images of their annual golf tournament at Trilogy on Redmond Ridge.

The driving range before the tournament started.

Some of the views at the golf course were amazing. I was glad there was a left-handed golfer in this group because I think it made for a better image!

I like how the ball is out in front of him, but he is still looking where the ball was (as he should be).

Free tequila shots and beer. That makes golfing even more fun!
