I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories.
I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I’ve met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography. A couple years ago, I photographed Shanna & Gary’s wedding. Shanna is a chef in Washington, DC. While she was coming out to visit family in eastern Washington, she arranged for a layover in Seattle so that we could do some promotional images to be used in and to promote her upcoming cookbook. I can’t wait to see it!

It shows me making faces trying to make a child smile. Oblivious to the fact that Conan O’Brien, one of the world’s funniest men and the child’s father is standing right there. I’m fairly confidant that he could have done a better job! Congratulations to Conan on his recent Emmy win!

This is a detail of the the veil that Sarah wore. It is from the mid to late 1800’s and has been worn by several generations of brides in her family.

My father-in-law has worked for Children’s Home Society of Washington for over 30 years. It is a truly remarkable organization dedicated to children and families. I volunteered to take some artistic images of their annual golf tournament at Trilogy on Redmond Ridge.

Some of the views at the golf course were amazing. I was glad there was a left-handed golfer in this group because I think it made for a better image!
I like how the ball is out in front of him, but he is still looking where the ball was (as he should be).
Free tequila shots and beer. That makes golfing even more fun!
