I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories.
I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I’ve met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography. Today at the PMA show (photogeek techno-show), Sony unveiled plans to create a 24 megapixel full-frame camera. And it will have Carl Zeiss (famed lens design company) lenses. They already have a 85 and 135, if they add a 24, it’s something that I will be watching. I love Zeiss lenses.

I love new and challenging projects. I was called by a company that wanted me to photograph 60 business portraits over the course of a day.
“No problem,” I say.
“Could we get those so that they all look different?”
“Um…what? 60 different portraits in one day. Okay, I can do that.”
Then I had to prove it to myself that I could! I talked to the staff at the Edgewater, where the big west coast big-wig’s meeting was taking place. They let me into one of the very cool suites to shoot the photographs. I thought of this as an alternative to trying to create 60 different portraits in a conference room, which would have been significantly more difficult. Hats off to them for making it happen!
