So I’m in the midst of my annual summer vacation. Here are a few images. I’m still available by phone and email!

I love this image of my youngest showing off how high he can kick!

For those of you that don’t know, Leslie loves ice cream. It was all we could do to keep her from hijacking the truck!

My middle showing off his amazing Tae Kwon Do skills. He has two stripes on his white belt, so y’all better watch out!

The guy in orange is my brother-in-law, Scott. He finished up his doctorate in biochemistry this week. Way to go Doctor V.!

A lovely portrait of me. This is included on this blog post for my mother.

And a photo of my father-in-law. Most patient man in the world.
Lori and Chris had a fantastic wedding at Pickering Barn. I loved the bright colors of the barn and the amazingly blue sky. Gorgeous.

When they saw each other for the first time. I loved Lori’s expression.

The cake rocked. The bottom layer was a mix of cake and blackberry cheesecake. Awesome. Creme-de-la-creme.

Four groomsmen strutting down the aisle.

They’re married!

Here is the full wedding of Yuko and Mike at the Woodland Park Rose Garden and Ray’s Boathouse. You can see the slideshow by clicking here!

Here is Yuko as she was when I arrived. I told her I couldn’t remember my last flannel bride!

Yuko when they see each other for the first time. I love this reaction.

Just after the ceremony

Victory! Mike is married!

I love how this little guy is caught in midair on his jaunt over to the fountain.

From the deck at Ray’s at sunset

A little dip to end the dance.

And one final image to end the night. As a photographer, I like this image a lot for some technical reasons. The first is that it was shot at 1/13 of a second, far below what all the rules tell you that it is safe to handhold a camera. The second is that there was no cheesy star filter used. The stars from the lights are from the lens and you can tell that my 50 1.4 has 8 aperture blades. And finally, this image was shot at 3200 ISO on my 5D. The grain or noise is far less obvious than when I shot 400 ISO film. How cool is that?!?
Here are just a couple from Lori and Chris’ wedding at Pickering Barn last weekend.

Working with a little sunflare. The flare was not added in Photoshop.

I like this image of them dancing in the barn.
Here is a sneak peak of Yuko & Mike’s wedding at the Woodland Park Rose Garden and Ray’s Boathouse.

I can’t remember the last time I started a post off with an image of a groom, but I loved this moment. Mike threw up his arms to cheers from the crowd right after the wedding ceremony. For some reason it reminds me of Lance Armstrong when he won the Tour de France.

Going backwards in time, this is Yuko’s reaction when they first saw each other. I think she was happy!

The sunset view from Ray’s Boathouse.
The rest of the post will be coming in the next couple days!
