Seattle Wedding Photographer - Cory Parris

About Cory Parris Photography

I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories. I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I have met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography. I also have an amazing wife, Leslie, and three fantastic children. Life is good. Have any questions? Call me - 425.637.8852

Getting Ready

Thursday, March 26th, 2009

This is one of my favorite getting ready images from last year. I like the slightly chaotic feel, the perspective, the lines moving towards the subject from both sides and the sign in the background. The Photo of the Day is from Jayme’s wedding at a private residence on Camano Island last summer. Jayme is also the event coordinator at the Bellevue Club.

Picture of the Day – Kate and Jon at Discovery Park in Seattle. Discovery Park is absolutely beautiful with the beach, rocks and lighthouse.

Little Jack

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009

Today I went to Seattle to the home of some of my former wedding clients. Their son, Jack, joined the family eight months ago. As you can see, he is a cute little guy! I’ll post more of these later this week.

Portrait Books

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Portrait books are one of my favorite products I offer. Everyone wants a bunch of really beautiful images of themselves, their family and their children. However, it is not really practical (or very nice looking) to completely wallpaper your home with photographs. A portrait book lets you put together a lot of images in a way that is beautiful, can be displayed, and can easily be shown to family and friends. Say “No!” to loose images in a shoebox! We can make a beautiful book from any session – engagement, child, family, high school senior – and it looks great for all of them.

Here is an example of an engagement portrait album. This one is a hard, black linen cover with a metallic dustjacket.

I love that with Sandy and Billy, we went someplace fun. We went to rides at Seattle Center for some images.

Canvas Portraits

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

I have a lot of cool things that I sell. One of my favorite is the canvas gallery wrap wall portraits. The image is optimized and retouched by me and then I have it printed onto canvas. Then it is stretched around a wooden frame. This makes a beautiful product that is very light, easy to hang, and does not require a frame. And this post would be worthless without pictures, so here we go!

Here are my adorable children printed as a 30x30 canvas gallery wrap and hung above the living room couch.
