Seattle Wedding Photographer - Cory Parris

About Cory Parris Photography

I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories. I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I have met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography. I also have an amazing wife, Leslie, and three fantastic children. Life is good. Have any questions? Call me - 425.637.8852

Photoshop Love

So today I wanted to play around a little in Photoshop. I randomly chose a photograph of Brian who will be one of my grooms this summer. This is from our recent engagement portrait session at Golden Gardens with his future better half, Carly. Here is the before and after photographs.

The before photograph. I like it as is.

I like the 2nd one…it feels warm and inviting. I also like the ring effect on the photo. I’m sure there is a more technical term for it.

Thanks, Tracy. The ring effect would be called lens flare. :) Talk to you soon!

    Nice shot.

I assume that’s artificial lens flare? You didn’t bring that up from the original image, right? I like the warmer color balance of the new one, but don’t care for the loss of contrast with the lens flair or the flare artifacts themselves. So, in the end, I have to go with the original.
