I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories.
I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I’ve met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography.
I also have an amazing wife, Leslie, and three fantastic children. Life is good.

Here is a new portrait of each of my two oldest kids (I have three, but one chose not to participate). I was itching to shoot and they were handy targets!

My son dressed in his Sounders FC kit. This image was take outdoors with a couple flashes

I took this image in a dark hallway with a couple of flashes to simulate daylight.
Danielle and Nick had a very fun wedding. We started at the Fort Lewis Main Post Chapel. Then we took a little walking tour of downtown Tacoma by the Museum of Glass for some photographs. For the reception, we hitched a ride on My Girl with a few of their friends.
You can see the slideshow here!

I love this image. This was taken just after the wedding ceremony. Danielle and Nick stopped to kiss and I love the moment.

This cute little lighthouse sits at the water entrance to Gig Harbor

I really like this view of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge

I thought this was hilarious

Danielle hugging her Dad.

Danielle and Nick discussing their cake feeding options.

Here is one image from my recent engagement portrait session with Rebecca and Erwin. The plan had been to get some amazing views of Seattle to show all their friends and family at their wedding in Taiwan, but it stayed foggy far longer than we thought it would. This image with the fog behind them, I thought turned out really cool.

I was editing Danielle & Nick’s photographs today. I liked this image and started playing around with it. I came up with this dark and moody portrait. I loved the way it looked.

I had a great time at Samantha and Navy’s wedding at the Newcastle Golf Club. Navy and his family are from Pakistan and I love the colors and traditions from that part of the world. It was also my first Muslim wedding. Very fun!

I love the details - mehndi and bracelets.

I love to photograph hands. Besides the face, it is the most expressive thing we use!
