I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories.
I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I’ve met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography.
I also have an amazing wife, Leslie, and three fantastic children. Life is good.

I love getting new and different opportunities to create images that are outside of what I normally do. This is the second time that I’ve gotten to do a portrait session for American Motorcyclist, which is the magazine of the American Motorcyclist Association. Tom Mehran is a local guy that runs a couple of online publications including Sound Rider that contributed an article for the magazine. I was very happy with what we came up with. I met Tom down at Golden Gardens a little before sunset, set up some lights (I love my radiopoppers!), and created some dramatic sunset portraits. Very fun!

This was my favorite image from the session!

Very, very cool!
I really enjoyed doing this session with Cory. As a photographer myself I took great pleasure in torturing he and his lovely daughter/assistant with crazy shot ideas. We all had a lot of fun that night. He had the right gear to get the right shots and even had a backup ready to go when one light failed. He calls himself a wedding photographer, but he’s real good beyond that too. I would highly recommend him for any kind of portrait and family work.
Tom, looking good!!!! I agree the second picture is the best.
