I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories.
I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I’ve met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography.
I also have an amazing wife, Leslie, and three fantastic children. Life is good.
Cassie and Ryan had a beautiful wedding on a rainy summer day at the Newcastle Golf Club. It was fun trying to find new and interesting places to photograph around the golf club while staying covered from the rain!

Ryan's face in this image is why I love having the first look before the wedding. It is a moment for the bride and groom to laugh and share their excitement!
It rained most of the day, but we ventured out around sunset (cloudy, hard to tell when and if it had set!). I loved this moody portrait with the dark clouds.
I’ve been playing with this idea for a long time. This is a combination of images that I took of Brian, Jennifer and their new daughter Nicole and a short interview I did with them. I am really looking forward to hearing some feedback!
Rose and Quinn were married in a small ceremony at Willows Lodge in Woodinville. They were married on a Thursday evening by officiant Annemarie Juhlian. It was a lot of fun to meet and spend time with them and their family!
