Seattle Wedding Photographer - Cory Parris

About Cory Parris Photography

I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories. I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I have met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography. I also have an amazing wife, Leslie, and three fantastic children. Life is good. Have any questions? Call me - 425.637.8852 Cory Parris

    So cute! And beautiful photographs.

  2. Great work Cory! I particularly like the way you use the extremeties of the frame to compose your photographs, it serves to lead your eye into and around the subject matter and tells more of a story than if you compose more centrally. The drama you manage to create through creative use of natural light and contrast is an inspiring element of your photography also.

  3. What I mean is that central compositions are perfect for some situations where the subject is to be the dominant aspect of the frame but it is nice to see a mix as you have here, particularly if you can still make the subject dominant without centralising and at different scales. The way you relate the picture to the viewer gives a sense of what the child might be looking at, what might be round the edge of the frame – highlighting the importance of the surroundings in the overall feel of the picture. This is the reason I prefer shooting in natural environments and not in studio with blank backgrounds. Keep up the good work I like it!
