I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories.
I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I’ve met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography. I also have an amazing wife, Leslie, and three fantastic children. Life is good. You can also find recent posts about me below on my blog, on my portfolio site, or look me up on facebook. |

Here is another image from Annie and Ryan’s engagement portraits in downtown Bellevue. This was actually taken in the parking lot of Bellevue Square!

The picture of the day today is actually an album spread. This image of Joyce and Jason walking at Newcastle Golf Club will run as a 26 inches wide and 10 inches tall in their album.

Portrait books are one of my favorite products I offer. Everyone wants a bunch of really beautiful images of themselves, their family and their children. However, it is not really practical (or very nice looking) to completely wallpaper your home with photographs. A portrait book lets you put together a lot of images in a way that is beautiful, can be displayed, and can easily be shown to family and friends. Say “No!” to loose images in a shoebox! We can make a beautiful book from any session - engagement, child, family, high school senior - and it looks great for all of them.

Here is an example of an engagement portrait album. This one is a hard, black linen cover with a metallic dustjacket.

Here we can see the binding and paper. The images are printed on photographic paper and mounted on board so the pages lay flat.

I love that with Sandy and Billy, we went someplace fun. We went to rides at Seattle Center for some images.

This was my favorite image of the day. Just after sunset.
I just received this beautiful new sample album that I can’t wait to show my prospective clients. It is a leather bound album with very thick, heavy pages. The leather colors are passion with a stripe of suspicion, which I think is hilarious! Let me know if you want to come see it in person.
