Seattle Wedding Photographer - Cory Parris

About Cory Parris Photography

I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories. I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I have met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography. I also have an amazing wife, Leslie, and three fantastic children. Life is good. Have any questions? Call me - 425.637.8852

Debbie & Philip | Engagement Portraits at Pike Place Market!

Debbie and Philip met me down at Pike Place Market  for some engagement portraits.  I had a great time with them and we found some locations by the market that I hadn’t been to before.  Very cool!

I took this pair of portraits as Debbie and Philip looked at each other.

Rachel & Mike | Engagement Portraits at Golden Gardens in Seattle!

Friday, September 23rd, 2011

Rachel and Mike are getting married tomorrow in Minnesota.  They already had a wedding photographer lined up, but they wanted some portraits taken in their new home of Seattle before the wedding.  I met them at Golden Gardens and here are the images!

Elizabeth & Steven–Engagement Portraits at Volunteer Park and Conservatory!

Thursday, June 30th, 2011

Elizabeth and Steven are great.  I love the way they laugh together.  Steven proposed at the Conservatory at Volunteer Park, so it seemed like the natural  place for the engagement portraits.  Some people just make things more fun.  Elizabeth and Steven are like that!

Diana & Brad | Engagement Portraits at Washington Park Arboretum!

Wednesday, June 8th, 2011

I met Diana and Brad down at the Arboretum at Washington Park in Seattle for their engagement portraits.  The area there is absolutely awesome for portraits.  Lots of variety, beautiful vistas, interesting relationships between the foreground and the background.  It may be a new favorite spot for portraits for me.  Also, I brought my wonderfully talented daughter along with me.  She created one of my favorite images of the day.  I’m very proud!

This image was taken by my incredibly talented daughter, Alyssa Parris.  She has a grasp on composition that many photographers twice her age would happy to have.  I’m a little proud!

This last image of Diana and Brad walking through the forest reminds me of one of my favorite images of all time, Eugene W. Smith’s “The Walk to Paradise Garden”.  You can see EWS’ fantastic image from 1918 on Sotheby’s website.
