Last year, I took some photographs of Rashmi Tambe for American Motorcyclist Magazine. They ran a small image of Rashmi that I took for them. They told me a couple weeks ago that they had run a couple more images in the May issue from that same session. It came today and one of my photographs of Rashmi is on the cover! They also used a second image larger than full page inside. Very cool.

American Motorcyclist Magazine – Portrait With Motorcycle at Golden Gardens
Thursday, November 12th, 2009I love getting new and different opportunities to create images that are outside of what I normally do. This is the second time that I’ve gotten to do a portrait session for American Motorcyclist, which is the magazine of the American Motorcyclist Association. Tom Mehran is a local guy that runs a couple of online publications including Sound Rider that contributed an article for the magazine. I was very happy with what we came up with. I met Tom down at Golden Gardens a little before sunset, set up some lights (I love my radiopoppers!), and created some dramatic sunset portraits. Very fun!

This was my favorite image from the session!

American Motorcyclist Magazine
Sunday, March 22nd, 2009I received my copies of American Motorcyclist. Here is how they used the images I took for them. Very cool. Don’t worry mom, I’m sending you a copy!

American Motorcycle Association
Wednesday, March 18th, 2009The American Motorcycle Association hired me to do some portraits of Jim and his friend Toby with their motorcycles for their nation-wide magazine. They are both war veterans working in and with helicopters. We met in Everett and made these!

This is the image I wanted to create for the magazine. Something with Jim looking cool on his motorcycle.

My Dad rode a Harley like this (with a different paint job) both when I was a kid and again when I was in high school.

Toby completely chopped and customized the back of his bike.
