I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories.
I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I’ve met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography. I also have an amazing wife, Leslie, and three fantastic children. Life is good. You can also find recent posts about me below on my blog, on my portfolio site, or look me up on facebook. |

Elaine and Keith are from Singapore. They wanted to get married in the Pacific Northwest. They chose Blessed Sacrament in Seattle as their destination and me as their photographer. Here is the really unique part - they were married during mass! It was a surprise to all of the attendees. Very cool. After the wedding, we went to the University of Washington for some photographs.

This is Father Daniel. He is conducting mass before the wedding. I love the light coming through the smoke of the incense.

I love Blessed Sacrament. It is beautiful.

Blessed Sacrament is a beautiful church both inside and out.

I love the lines leading to the couple from the cobblestones and over them from the tree.

Teresa and Peter had their wedding at the beautiful chapel at Bastyr University. It is one of my favorite chapel/churches in the entire Seattle area. I was only with them for a few hours of their wedding day. I covered a little of the getting ready, the ceremony and an extended wedding day portrait session. Very fun. It also allowed me some extra time to play with lighting indoors since it was cold and raining outside!

I love the unique design of the chapel at Bastyr. The wide aisle makes for some cool, dramatic images

We braved the rain and colf for a few images out in the woods.

Carly and Brian had a beautiful wedding at Magnolia United Church and reception at the Shilsole Bay Beach Club. They are a fantastic couple and I had a blast photographing them.

I love this image, but I already blogged the story behind it!

After faces, hands are the most expressive thing we have. They hold a lot of emotion and tension.

Seeing each other for the first time on the wedding day.

I love it when the church or wedding venue has cool architecture.

I love this image. I have carried my own kids like this (they loved it).

I liked this little figurine next to the cake. Evidently, Carly likes to fish and caught something she wanted to keep!

I won't repeat what he said, but Brian's brother and best man started the speech off with a bang. This is their reaction!

I just received this beautiful new sample album that I can’t wait to show my prospective clients. It is a leather bound album with very thick, heavy pages. The leather colors are passion with a stripe of suspicion, which I think is hilarious! Let me know if you want to come see it in person.
