Teresa and Peter had their wedding at the beautiful chapel at Bastyr University. It is one of my favorite chapel/churches in the entire Seattle area. I was only with them for a few hours of their wedding day. I covered a little of the getting ready, the ceremony and an extended wedding day portrait session. Very fun. It also allowed me some extra time to play with lighting indoors since it was cold and raining outside!

I love the unique design of the chapel at Bastyr. The wide aisle makes for some cool, dramatic images

We braved the rain and colf for a few images out in the woods.

Janet and Mike are a fantastic couple. Very fun, loving and devoted to each other.

I met Rachel and David at Bastyr University for a couple hours of post-wedding portraits. What great fun!

Rachel and David are a great couple that were married at Bastyr University Chapel. The flowers were by Jill at Garden Gate. Here are a few images. I had a great time and it was a pleasure to meet them and thier families. You can see the rest of the images and order prints by clicking here!

I’m looking forward to next week when we will be doing a post-wedding portrait session!
Jackie and Andrew were a great couple. My buddy John Chin came with me and we had a great time photographing the wedding. It was fun seeing many people that I knew from previous weddings! You can see their slideshow here.

I rarely post group photographs, but I like this one with the wedding party laughing, the amazing sky and light that spotlights the couple.

For the photographers out there, this is taken with completely available light. 1/20 at f1.4 at 1600. The camera compensated for yellow-green color from the flourescent light in the nearby post and that resulted in the cool colors in the background. This is basically straight out of the camera and is not a photoshop effect.

Always trying to catch some of the background story of the day and making it interesting.

The best man got the Chicken Pox. He was then quarantined from infecting the rest of the wedding party, family and guests. Therefore, he wrote the speech and another groomsman presented it. The poor best man then had to listen to his own speech over the phone.

This is Erin. She and her husband Adam were married two years ago and I was honored to be her wedding photographer. She was the ring-bearer’s companion during the wedding ceremony.
