About Cory Parris Photography
I am a wedding and portrait photographer in Seattle. I create emotional photostories. I love photography. I love all the technical aspects of f-stops, shutter speeds, megapixels, photoshop, and lighting. I love the art of photography in the composition, angles, bokeh, point of view, and the way the technical changes the art. More than even the art, I love the expressions and emotions that people portray in their face, body language, and hand positions. Along the way, I have met a lot of great people, gotten to photograph some pretty cool things, and had a lot of fun. I am very happy to have chosen a career in photography. I also have an amazing wife, Leslie, and three fantastic children. Life is good. Have any questions? Call me - 425.637.8852

I am going to try to start posting an image every day. This image came from Lindsey and Jason’s wedding at Tyee Yacht Club (also known as the Yacht Club on Lake Union) last June. Lindsey is dancing with her dad and I love the expressions.

I’ve been thinking for quite some time that I wanted to start featuring vendors that I have worked with and that my clients have been pleased with. I just sent out a survey to my clients and got back quite a few vendor referrals for them. As luck would have it, Kendra from Loves Me Flowers was on the list, and she contacted me this week for some images for her portfolio and website. This coincidence leads to the first vendor feature on the Cory Parris Photography blog. And without further ado, hear are some images of the work that Loves Me Flowers has done for a couple of my past clients.
The first set are from Elyssa and Caleb’s wedding in December 2007 at Willow’s Lodge.

This is a gorgeous winter centerpiece
The second set is from summer 2008 at the Tyee Yacht Club, or sometimes called the Yacht Club at Lake Union.

The summer flower bouquet is from Billy and Sandy's wedding this last summer.

The man's flower. I really liked this.

Look at this mass of flower petals! Beautiful.

Sandy walking down the aisle with her father.

The ring bearer playing with flower petals during the ceremony. The kids are alwasy so cute at weddings.

Sandy and Billy were married on a beautiful day at the Lake Union Yacht Club (formerly the Tyee Yacht Club). You can see the slideshow here!

I always know that the bride is going to be a lot of fun if she chooses colored shoes. Check out these green beauties in front of the stained glass window at First Covenant Church in downtown Seattle.

This wedding bracelet has been involved in something like 37 family wedding since the early 1900′s in Jason’s family. The list is all the names of the brides. Very cool.

The beautiful interior of Seattle Covenant.
Another beautiful view of the church.

There are some incredible moments in life. Does it get any better than riding in the back of a classic convertible on a beautiful day right after you get married?

Post Alley is one of those places photographers love. You can create sunny, bright and colorful images, moody and dark images, or both with a trashy, urban chic flair.

How can you not love bright green shoes with the wedding dress?

I love how the little boy is staring at Lindsey and Jason as they get their photos taken. It’s kind of funny how many other people are looking at them, too!

I liked this portrait of Jason with the stranger out of focus in the background.

Here’s the Mustang. I offered to trade for my Kia, but they weren’t having any of it!

As they come into the the Yacht Club at Lake Union (not to be confused with the Tyee Yacht Club, which is exactly the same place), Jason gets a high-five from his mom.

Lindsey and Jason made things harder on the guests. If you wanted to have them kiss, you had to do more than just hit your glass with a fork. You had to come up and sing a song into the microphone with the word “Love” in the song. So…the groomsmen sang the Barney song (I love you, you love me, we’re a happy family…). Of course, they didn’t know the whole song, so Lindsey was waiting for the rest. The parents in the crowd helped them out and it was a first for me – a group singing of the Barney song at a wedding!

Lindsey’s dad made individual cheesecakes for everyone (I had the chocolate raspberry) and a slightly larger one for Lindsey and Jason to cut. Unfortunately, it needed a little more time to thaw, so they had to chip off pieces to feed to each other.

Lindsey’s dad.
