I met Marissa when she was an adorable four-year-old bundle of energy running around my neighborhood. It has been so cool to see the fantastic person she has become in her senior year at Bothell High. I met Marissa and her mom at the Woodland Park Rose Garden for her senior portraits. While avoiding a wedding that was happening there, we also walked around the surrounding neighborhood.Read More
Bryce is about to start his senior year at Bothell High. Here are some portraits we took at Silver Lake!
Hunter is a senior at Bothell High School. We met at Heritage Park in Kirkland for his senior portraits there and at the waterfront. I first met Hunter when he was three as the younger brother of my daughter's first grade friend. Very fun!
Erika had her senior portraits at Bothell Landing. Check out the images!
I've known Taneum for years. She is a funny and entertaining person! Check out her Bothell senior portraits.
Christopher and Thomas are Seniors at Bothell High School. And, obviously, twins. Check out their senior portraits taken at Bothell Landing!
Years ago when I was in high school and college, I photographed a ton of sporting events. I loved it, and I was good at it. When I was an intern at the Everett Herald, I shot around 30 Seattle Sonics games. I still have some of my old newspaper clippings in a box somewhere. Eventually I moved on to documenting other fast moving social events (weddings).
Now my son, Kyler, is a 12-year-old student intern as a writer for GoalWA.net. I soccer blog focused on events in Washington. You can see some of his writing here. As part of his writing, I’ve been taking photographs of the people and events he is writing about. Our last outing was to the Bothell High School girls soccer team take on Ballard. Bothell ended up losing 3-2.
This was my favorite image of the day. A Bothell attacker jumping over Ballard’s keeper to avoid the collision!
We have known Bothell’s Keeper, Kristie Noble, for years. She is the daughter of Kyler’s former soccer coach starting when Kyler was around 7. She is now the starting goalkeeper for Bothell as a Sophomore!
I met Melissa at Centennial Park in Bothell for some senior portraits. Her brother Thomas and my daughter Alyssa were my assistants. We tromped on the trails through the blackberry bushes and the mud to find some very cool places at a small park. It was a blast. I now expect all the rest of the Bothell Seniors to be knocking down my door to get their portraits done by me! :)
I love the way the background in this image looks like the brushstrokes of a painting.
