Georgetown Ballroom Wedding | Funky Bokeh

georgetown-ballroom-3

Here is a photograph that is the result of experimentation. I love to have out of focus highlights in my images. They look cool. So while I was at the Georgetown Ballroom, I played with some holiday lights in the foreground while taking a photograph looking up the stairs at Lulu and Craig. In addition to the lights in the foreground, I used a flash in a softbox. This was extended about six feet from the stairs about six feet in front of them at a height of about 15 feet off the ground. I should have taken a behind the scenes photograph. This image ended up looking like I used two frames and combined them, but it was all one capture and with very little post editing. Very cool.
