I met Bill and Heather at the World Trade Center Seattle before their wedding. Then we went down to Pike Place Market and walked back along the waterfront taking portraits of the two of them. We included a stop at Bell Harbor for some images from the rooftop deck.
Maria-Lynn and Sean were married at the Greenwood Masonic Lodge in Seattle. They are a fantastic couple. You could feel how much they were loved by their friends and family. After the ceremony, we took some photographs around Greenwood and then went to Tutta Bella for a pizza with some of their favorite people.
I met Cacia and Nick at Golden Gardens for some sunset portraits. Which is funny because there wasn’t really a sunset, but rather a big group of dark clouds that swooped over Seattle in just in time steal away our sunset. We made it work with some really cool images of the two of them anyway!
Christina and Saul had their wedding at the beautiful St. Alphonsus Church in the Ballard area of Seattle. The church is beautiful. I am always surprised when I get to shoot in a new church that is both beautiful and new to me in the Seattle area.
Christina and Saul are a wonderful couple that chose to have a traditional Latin mass. They had the reception in the church hall. It featured some amazing traditional Mexican dances, country line dances, and fantastic food.
One of the great things about being a photographer for a long time is to see how the lives of my clients change over time. I have been photographing Joshua since he was born. He was shy and a bit of a challenge when he was small, but always gave me a hug before I left. Now he is a smart, funny young man with a strong sense of himself that made it easy to photograph.
Tony and Wenvi are a fantastic couple to spend a day with! We visited Meydenbaur Bay Park in Bellevue, Occidental Square in Seattle, The Municipal Court for the wedding, and a few other places around the city.
I met Bryn and Austin at the Olympic Sculpture Park for the engagement portraits. I love photographing at the OSP and Myrtle Edwards Park below it. When we had walked through both parks, we went onto the nearby streets for more photographs.
Irena and Logan were married at the King County Superior Court in Seattle with their family and friends. It was a beautiful day and we went to the Unniversity of Washington for some portraits before going to dinner in Ballard. They are a great couple that was fantastic to spend the day with.
I love shooting all kinds of events, but this one was at a cool venue, had great food, beautiful decor, lots of stuff to look at and an awesome band! I was hired by On the Scene, an event coordinator out of Chicago.
Brooke and Dylan had a beautiful winter, evening elopement wedding at the Seattle Municipal Court with some family and friends. They were great fun to hang out with and their family and friends were very fun to talk to.
Liftoff.io had me photograph Margarita for their “Mobile Heroes” series. This combined marketing effort showcases how individuals use the Liftoff and other mobile marketing channels to get traction in a competitive field. You can read Margarita’s Mobile Heroes piece or an article she wrote for them that both feature the portraits from our session together. I really liked how some of these came out to show not only Margarita, but also the brand she was working for at the time.
I met the W family at the Washington Park Arboretum for their family portraits this last fall. I photographed Josh & Jessica’s wedding in 2006, so it was amazing to see them and get a chance to meet their beautiful boys.
Daniel surprised Sonya with a proposal on the observation deck of the Space Needle. Having a photographer there was also a surprise. After the proposal, and Sonya said “Yes”, we took some portraits on and around the Space Needle.
A few months ago, I photographed Sarah Rhoads, head of Amazon’s Prime Air, for Air Cargo World Magazine. It was a great experience for me to be able to photograph her in the Amazon Spheres in Seattle. She is a former fighter pilot that is now Air Cargo World Executive of the Year. Below is the magazine layouts as well as some of my favorite photographs from the session
Dr. Eagan started her own private practice, Summit Psychology, a couple of years ago. Being a smart business person as well as psychologist, she realized that small businesses need good photography to be able to have a professional looking web and social media presence. I was luck enough to get the job to take her portraits and some photographs of her office. Another smart thing she did was to choose a beautiful office space that will be a pleasure for her and her clients to spend time in.
I met John and his mom in downtown Bellevue for his senior portraits. He goes to Ballard High, but downtown Bellevue worked for everyone and has some great spaces to photograph in. Check out his senior portraits!
