Rattlesnake Lake Engagement Portraits | Laura & Bret

I met Laura and Bret at Rattlesnake Lake for their engagement portraits. I hadn’t seen the lake with such a low water level before which exposed lots of old tree stumps. It was an odd, cool look that made for some very cool photographs, but not what I was expecting. I can’t wait for Laura and Bret’s wedding in a few months!

Washington Park Arboretum Engagement Portraits | Lauren & Anthony

I met Lauren for the first time when she was around 3 when her family and mine moved into the same neighborhood. It is crazy and fun to see her as a full adult with a fiance and a career as a teacher. Anthony I met at the portrait session. He seems like a fun guy that makes Lauren laugh. Very cool couple. Check out some smoky fall day portraits at the Washington Park Arboretum in Seattle!

Noelle and Mike met me at Discovery Park for a windy hike and portrait session. It was a lot of fun, and a lot of hiking as we made our way through the park. It was a hot and smoky day, so it led to some interesting haze and some intense colors later in the evening. After going to and from Bainbridge Island on the ferry, we walked to Pier 62 for some sunset images.

We did the shoot late in the evening with the idea of getting some awesome sunlight streaming through the forest. I think we nailed it!

Washington Ferry Engagement Portraits | Emily & Scott

Emily and Scott met at work in Spokane. They both work in broadcast journalism. They are funny, entertaining, and are obviously very smitten with each other. I met them at the Bainbridge ferry terminal in Seattle for their engagement portraits. We bought walk-on tickets and took photographs all over the boat. After our ride, we walked up to Occidental Square and took some portraits on the top of a parking garage. It was fun!

Everett Marina Engagement Portraits | Rachael & Aaron

Rachael and Aaron light up when they look at each other. Aaron quietly makes Rachael laugh and then they both seem so happy with each other. We met at the Everett Marina where they shared a date for one of their anniversaries. We somehow managed to dodge most of the showers on a very rainy day and get some great images of them together.
