I recently had the opportunity to photograph Lisa and Chris’ elopement. It was the first wedding that I’ve photographed after the lockdown for the coronavirus and Covid-19. It was a joy to be back photographing a wedding! Lisa and Chris are also fantastic people to hang out with, so they made it especially fun for me to be back doing what I love. Lisa and Chris had originally planned on having an elopement at the Seattle Municipal Court with a dozen guests. They ended up getting married in their backyard with one of my favorite officiants, Annemarie Juhlian, performing the ceremony. Before their ceremony, we went to Richmond Beach Saltwater Park for some portraits.

Elope in Seattle | Miko & Yang

Miko and Yang eloped in Seattle at the Seattle Municipal Court. I love shooting courthouse weddings. They are small, quick, and heartfelt. I get to be creative in areas around downtown that are fun to get creative in. And I get to meet extraordinary people like Miko and Yang.

Edgewater Hotel & Imperia Lake Union Cafe Wedding | Rachael & Aaron

Rachael & Aaron made their wedding into a two day event with ceremonies at the Edgewater Hotel on the waterfront and the cool, art deco styling of the Lake Union Cafe. Both their ceremonies were beautiful and heartfelt.

Seattle Municipal Court Wedding | Audrey & Rich

Audrey and Rich came up from Hollywood to have their wedding in Seattle with their family and friends. It just so happened that the date that worked out was Valentine’s Day! We arranged to take photographs inside the Seattle Public Library before the ceremony, which was on a cold and blustery day. They are a great couple and it was fun to spend their wedding day with them!

Seattle Courthouse Wedding | Christopher & Andrew

Christopher and Andrew were married on one of the rainiest days I can remember photographing a wedding. So we used the rain to create some incredibly cool images. I also got to sign their marriage license as a witness, which I always think is kind of cool. Check it out!

Seattle Court Wedding | Veena & Kaustubh

I met Veena and Kaustubh at Pike Place Market before the ceremony. We walked the 3/4 of a mile to the Seattle Municipal Court with several stops for photographs. They are a great couple that I really enjoyed talking to and photographing!

Seattle Wedding at The Imperia Lake Union Cafe | Cacia & Nick

Cacia and Nick had a wonderful ceremony at the Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church in Shoreline before we went to Gas Works Park for some spectacular couple and group portraits with views of Seattle across Lake Union. Then we joined friends and family at the Lake Union Cafe for dinner and reception. Very cool people and a very fun day!

Seattle Tennis Club Wedding | Lacey & Payam

Lacey and Payam had a beautiful wedding day at the Seattle Tennis Club. They are a great couple and it was amazing to watch the way they look at each other. It was truly a pleasure to be part of their day as they were married and celebrated with their friends and family!

Lily and Fu are some of the nicest people I have met. They were married at Ray's Boathouse in the Ballard are of Seattle. It was a very fun day for me!

Aimee & Joel - Wedding at Lake Union Cafe

Aimee and Joel are a great couple. They both light up when they are around each other. They had a beautiful ceremony at the Lake Union Cafe, which is one of my favorite places to photograph a wedding. I think it has the coolest ceiling and chandeliers in Seattle. Before the ceremony, we went to Gas Works Park and the Washington Park Arboretum for portraits.
