Senior Portraits in Bothell | Aiden

Aiden is a senior. He doesn’t love having his photograph taken, so we did a combined session of family portraits and senior portraits. Here is Aiden’s senior portrait session in Bothell along with some family portraits. We took these on the last day before the bridge at Bothell Landing was replaced!

Washington Ferry Engagement Portraits | Emily & Scott

Emily and Scott met at work in Spokane. They both work in broadcast journalism. They are funny, entertaining, and are obviously very smitten with each other. I met them at the Bainbridge ferry terminal in Seattle for their engagement portraits. We bought walk-on tickets and took photographs all over the boat. After our ride, we walked up to Occidental Square and took some portraits on the top of a parking garage. It was fun!

Willows Lodge Wedding | Heather & Kevin

Heather and Kevin had a wonderful, though slightly rainy, wedding day at Willows Lodge in the wine country of Woodinville, Washington. It was my first wedding in the era of the pandemic. It was a very heartfelt event that had far more guests via Zoom than were in physical attendance. I believe there were 12 family members at the wedding. Willows Lodge made it a great day despite the modern challenges. Congratulations to Heather & Kevin!

Elopement in Seattle | Lisa & Chris

I recently had the opportunity to photograph Lisa and Chris’ elopement. It was the first wedding that I’ve photographed after the lockdown for the coronavirus and Covid-19. It was a joy to be back photographing a wedding! Lisa and Chris are also fantastic people to hang out with, so they made it especially fun for me to be back doing what I love. Lisa and Chris had originally planned on having an elopement at the Seattle Municipal Court with a dozen guests. They ended up getting married in their backyard with one of my favorite officiants, Annemarie Juhlian, performing the ceremony. Before their ceremony, we went to Richmond Beach Saltwater Park for some portraits.

Audrey and Rich came up from Hollywood to have their wedding in Seattle with their family and friends. It just so happened that the date that worked out was Valentine’s Day! They are a great couple and it was fun to spend their wedding day with them!

Seattle Courthouse Wedding | Christopher & Andrew

Christopher and Andrew were married on one of the rainiest days I can remember photographing a wedding. So we used the rain to create some incredibly cool images. I also got to sign their marriage license as a witness, which I always think is kind of cool. Check it out!

Everett Marina Engagement Portraits | Rachael & Aaron

Rachael and Aaron light up when they look at each other. Aaron quietly makes Rachael laugh and then they both seem so happy with each other. We met at the Everett Marina where they shared a date for one of their anniversaries. We somehow managed to dodge most of the showers on a very rainy day and get some great images of them together.

Seattle Courthouse Wedding Photography | Ivy & Nicolas

Ivy and Nicolas have a story that seems to come out of a movie. They started dating in 8th grade. They continued to date through high school. Then they went to college together and dated that whole time. Then they came to Seattle for their destination wedding at the Seattle Municipal Court!

We started at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel where they were staying while they were in town. We walked slowly to the Seattle courthouse with stops at the library and a couple other places along the way. Then we hit the rooftop deck for some portraits before the ceremony. Once they were married we went to their reception dinner at Canlis.

Very cool couple with awesome friends and family!

Dezeray & Erik | Seattle Elopement

Dezeray and Erik came up from Gig Harbor to elope in Seattle with some family and friends. Before the wedding we walked around downtown. They were married at the Seattle Municipal Courthouse. In the city of Seattle, there are no city hall weddings. They happen at the courthouse. It was just before sunset at wedding time. After the ceremony, we went down to the waterfront to take some sunset and night portraits, which was a blast.

Imperia Lake Union Cafe Wedding in Seattle | Erin & Adam

Erin and Adam had a beautiful, cold fall day for their Seattle wedding. We went to the cold and windy Gas Works Park for some portraits. It was a little too cold by the water to stay long, but we hid near the actual gas works to take some more cool and interesting images. Then we went over to the beautiful Lake Union Cafe for their wedding and reception.
