I love working with marketing teams to come up with new art for small businesses. For this one, a construction company needed new photographs of their people, some teamwork or work culture type photographs, and some on-site photographs to illustrate a piece of what they do.
Read MoreI was at Dr. Anderson’s dental office taking some branding photographs for his company. I had done some photographs of him working, portraits of Dr. Anderson and his staff, some photographs of his facilities and all the things I do during a branding session for a small business. I was commenting on his very cool business card holders that looked like the front of an older style VW Bus. It turns out that Dr Anderson is an afficianado and had a couple of restored VW buses. So we made plans to meet him at a park near my house for a few photographs of him and his baby. Literally photos with his baby, family, and also with the VW bus that evening. It is just one more example of how cool my job is as a photographer - one thing leads to another and another fun photoshoot emerges.

There is usually a lot of creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration involved to create some great marketing photographs for the company. For this set of images for Peter of The Seattle Personal Trainer, we had some of his clients come into the gym on Queen Anne and created images of him coaching and helping them. It was a fun shoot!

Read MoreCorporate events can be a ton of fun. For this one, I was photographing the West Coast competition for the chefs of Aramark. There were people from convention centers, including Chef Jose from the Seattle Convention Center, stadiums, and national park resorts from Washington, California, and Nevada. The competition was held in the brand-new kitchen at the Seattle Convention Center Summit building.
