Seattle Small Business Marketing Photography

One of my favorite things to do is to create a set of images for a small business. There is usually a lot of creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration involved to create some great marketing photographs for the company. For this set of images for Peter of The Seattle Personal Trainer, we had some of his clients come into the gym on Queen Anne and created images of him coaching and helping them. It was a fun shoot!

Seattle Business Headshots and Portraits

Business portraits and headshots make up a huge part of my business. A lot of times places will want this more casual, modern style of business portrait, but will be asking for headshots because that is the term they know. In photographer’s circles this isn’t really considered a headshot because there is much more to it than just the head and shoulders, but how would a client know to call it something different? I have heard these call cinematic style or bokeh style, but whatever it is, I have been doing it for my clients for years. I will go to a business office and create really nice portraits of a bunch of people all in one day. Here is a set I did for a biotech firm in Seattle. All of these images were either taken in the lobby of their building or within a few blocks of walking. For this shoot, I created portraits of around 35 of their employees in one day.

I met Elizabeth in Fremont. We wandered around and found some great places for her images. I’ve always called these business marketing portraits, but they are more commonly called brand photography or personal brand photography. Either way, here are some portraits of Elizabeth for her LinkedIn and new job.

Environmental Portraits for Business | Colliers International

I create a ton of corporate business portraits. They are not quite headshots, not a complete branding session, but something like an environmental portrait in a more editorial style for my clients to use all over. Colliers asked me to take photographs of their Occupiers group. These people came to meet up in Seattle from all over the country and some from other places in the world. The mission was to create a few great, interesting shots of each person in a relatively short amount of time.

Marketing Portraits in Seattle | Graham Construction

I really love creating portraits of people. When I create marketing portraits for businesses, I try to help my subjects relax so they can have their natural, friendly smile. Appearing warm, real, and relaxed helps to make them look like people you would want to work with. Check out these business portraits and headshots I did for Graham Construction last week. They will be using these in the proposals and bids as well as for press releases, website, and other marketing.

Executive Portraits | Troy

I went down to the headquarters of Abbott Construction in Seattle to create new executive portraits of their CEO, Troy. They have a great office to work with. Over the course of the hour I was with Troy, we did several different settings including some studio headshots to give him a variety of images to work with. We varied from fully buttoned up to business casual so that he would be able to use the images for different purposes. I was quite please with this set of images.

Small Business Photo Marketing | Phil C

Lots of small businesses are built on the personal relationships they build with their clients. Photographs of the main people at a business can be used to create a connection before you get a chance to meet your clients in real life. Phil met me in Seattle for some photographs that showed him as both professional and easy to work with. I call this my personal branding session.
